Bridging Europe and Latin America for a Sustainable Development of Tourism

Welcome to the heart of DualTourism's mission. Our project unites nations from two vibrant continents, Europe and Latin America, both of which face similar challenges: championing sustainable development of tourism and fostering youth employment. These regions, rich in touristic allure, have evolved at varied paces and through diverse strategies. We strongly believe in the transformative power of tourism as a catalyst for youth employability and holistic local advancement.

Our strategy is two-fold:

  • Empowerment of VET Systems: Through a train-the-trainer methodology, coupled with avant-garde activities and resources, we aim for a systemic metamorphosis encompassing diverse stakeholders and the entire sustainable development of tourism ecosystem.
  • Launch of the DualTourism Platform: This platform is envisioned as a catalyst, igniting a virtuous cycle that not only promotes territories but also triggers employment avenues, fostering sustainable, inclusive, digital tourism, and transnational collaboration opportunities.

ANTICIPATED IMPACT

Our partnership envisions an active role in pioneering innovations for the international professional training framework, supporting a fresh perspective on sustainable development of tourism. This will manifest as enhanced skills and potential in the youth and tourism agents, fostering collaboration and skill enhancement in a sector brimming with potential.

EU & Latin American Dimensions

DualTourism wants to help the innovation of VET system on an international level. It follows the recipe provided by the Council Recommendation of 24/11/2020 to make sure VET equips young people and adults with the skills to support both the recovery and the green and digital transitions, while ensuring inclusiveness. In particular, basing on the article n.166 of the European Treaty, the project fosters cooperation with third countries and the competent international cooperation in VET field.
